A Gift

This morning I have read a facebook message about the anniversary of the death of a friend's son, talked to a friend who is in a desperate and dangerous situation with her marriage, prayed for a friend who is getting married this weekend after a long, painful season of divorce and hurt and processed a conversation from yesterday with a friend whose 3 month old nephew is in a hospital bed waiting for a bone marrow match to cure a sickness that the doctor's don't even have a solid diagnosis for.

Life is hard and tough and sad and painful sometimes. It can be overwhelming. We can find ourselves focusing on all the bad stuff. But there is Hope.

Today, let's be a gift of friendship or love or help to someone. Hug your kids, be sweet to your spouse, smile at the person in the grocery store, pray for your co-worker, help someone who looks like they may need it. Whatever God lays on your heart today, do it.

God is not restrained by time the way we are. Use your time wisely today. Don't let the hours slip away without making a difference. He will bless your effort.

"Be very careful, then, how you live—not as unwise but as wise, making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil. Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the Lord’s will is." Ephesians 5:15-17.

I am praying for everyone who reads this today. My heart is breaking for some, rejoicing with others and Hopeful for so many. Consider yourself lifted to the throne room of Grace.
